TECKpert has developed this website to ensure content is available to he widest possible audience, including our clients and the people who need our help. By adhering to guidelines for accessible web design, we acknowledge the diversity of communication methods, available technologies and abilities of web-users in the community. We continue to improve our website to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.
To ensure TECKpert.com meets these standards, we carry out user experience testing across multiple devices (desktop, smartphones, tablets) as well as various browser types.
We have implemented an Accessibility Toolbar on our website that controls font size and contrast. The toolbar is docked to the right side of the screen, has five (5) buttons, and is vertically aligned with the screen. The first three buttons are used to set predefined sizes for the font; small, medium, and large in that order from top to bottom. The next two buttons alternate between high contrast and normal contrast in that order from top to bottom.
To ensure your access to information and site features, we recommend using the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer 11 and above.
All images contain alternative (ALT) text. This ALT attribute is displayed when the site is visited with images “off” and voiced by screen readers. If the ALT attribute is empty or null, then the image is ‘non-functional or brand-type’ and should be ignored by screen readers.
The forms we use on our website have accessibility features that enable them to be used with screen readers.
This website contains information in PDF (Portable Document Format) so that information is easy to download and portable. You will need Adobe Reader to access these files which can be downloaded for free via the Adobe website.
We continue to improve accessibility on our site and welcome any comments or suggestions regarding the accessibility features of TECKpert.com. If you’d like to provide feedback, please contact us.
