We live and work on in the web.  Like everyone else, we have our list of sites we frequent for work, inspiration, productivity, entertainment and news.

Here’s a list of our top 10 websites where you’ll find at least one website that should always stay open in your browser tabs (Chrome tabs hopefully, not IE).

10.  Google Art Project

If you’ve never heard of this site, I recommend you check it out immediately. Where else on the internet can you see classic works of art from museums around the world and learn about the painting and artist? You’ll even find a piece or two from a museum displayed in gigapixel resolution.

We learn from our peers and this website is one of the best places for finding inspirational design.  Websites are submitted daily and judged by a panel of experts. Check it out and compile a list of your favorites.

Here’s a site that helps automate tasks by pulling information from multiple web apps including Gmail, Dropbox, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare and more. You create ‘recipes’ that help you get things done like “Download all my Instagram photos I’m tagged in and save them to my Dropbox”.

If this then that

7.  The Cool Hunter

Find cool things and places across the world spanning categories from fashion to architecture and travel.  So if you’re overwhelmed with having to search endless ‘pin boards’, try this site to get some cool ideas for your next office or home remodeling project.

6.  TNW

If content is king, then when it comes to getting  news and global perspectives on all things related to the Internet, TNW is royalty.  So if you want a recommendation for a website on tech news and editorials that’s not Techcrunch or Mashable, then check out TNW.

5.  The Oatmeal

Did you know that is one of the most popular humor sites on the web with over 7 million unique views a month? We have many favorites on this site including How a web design goes straight to hell and Why Nikola Tesla was the greatest geek who ever lived.

4.  Draw a Stickman

What happens when you take a classic game and make creative use of JavaScript? You get a very interactive and entertaining way to take a 5 minute ‘mental’ break during your workday.

3.  NPR

We get Justin Bieber is popular but let’s not mix that in with what’s important. For what matters, NPR is one of the best places on the net to get digital content on news, information and music.

2.  The Onion

When we need to know what’s going on in the world, we go to the onion. It’s how we stay informed!

1.  Google

If Google wasn’t around would the internet as we know it exist today?
