What this website collects, why, and how to have it removed.

TECKpert LLC is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy covers this website and governs what it collects and how that information is used. Using the site means accepting the practices described here.

1. What we collect

What you send usAnything you enter in a form or send by email: your name, organization, email address, telephone number, and whatever you tell us about your requirement. If you attach a solicitation, we hold that too.
Job applicationsApplications are handled by our applicant tracking system rather than by this website. What you submit there, including your resume and references, is used to evaluate your application.
Partners and vendorsContact details for partner and vendor staff, provided to us in the course of that relationship.
Chat conversationsThe chat window is operated by Chatwoot on our behalf. What you type there, and the name, email address and organization you give when you open a conversation, are stored by Chatwoot so our team can reply and follow up.

2. Why we use it

To answer your question, to prepare a quote or a proposal, to manage a partner or vendor relationship, and to evaluate a job application. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it except with the service providers named below, who process it on our behalf.

3. Cookies and tracking

This site keeps its third party footprint deliberately small. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than a font network, so reading the site sets nothing on our behalf.

Several things do. The chat window loads from Chatwoot, which sets a cookie so a conversation survives you moving between pages. Google Analytics measures how the site is used, and Google’s advertising tag records when an enquiry is sent or a phone number is tapped, so we can tell which ads lead to contact. Until you accept the matching cookies neither sets any, and both send only cookieless measurement; once you accept advertising cookies, the advertising tag may also be used to show you our ads elsewhere. Google Tag Manager loads only after you accept advertising cookies, and through it an X advertising pixel and Google advertising tags, which set cookies used for measurement and retargeting. Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the contact form to block automated submissions. It is designed not to track you across sites, and may set a short lived cookie to remember that your browser has passed the check. The accessibility tool loads from UserWay and remembers the adjustments you choose in it.

Most browsers accept cookies by default and every browser can be set to refuse them. Declining advertising cookies does not affect your ability to read the site or reach us. Declining all cookies may stop the contact form verifying your submission.

4. Who else processes your data

HostingOur web host, which stores form submissions and site data on servers in the United States.
Email deliveryOur transactional email provider, which delivers form notifications to us.
Live chatChatwoot, which hosts the chat window, stores the conversation and notifies our team. Its servers are in the United States.
MeasurementGoogle, through Google Analytics, which receives page views and events such as a form being sent, without cookies until you accept them.
AdvertisingGoogle and X, through the tags described above.
Bot protectionCloudflare, which receives your IP address and browser signals from the contact form in order to tell a person from an automated submission.
Accessibility toolUserWay, which serves the accessibility widget and stores the settings you choose in it.

5. How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept while the enquiry is live, and afterwards for as long as we need them for our records or to meet a legal or contractual obligation. Applications are retained under the policy of our applicant tracking system. Chat conversations are retained by Chatwoot under the plan we hold with them.

6. Security

Your information is held on access controlled servers and travels over an encrypted connection. No internet service can promise absolute security. If we confirm a breach affecting your data, we will notify you within 24 hours of that confirmation.

7. Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You can refuse cookies in your browser at any time, and you can ask to be removed from any list you are on.

8. Children

This site is for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

9. Changes

We update this policy as the site and the business change. The review date below tells you which version you are reading.
